Biography
Anne McCabe is an American film and television editor. She began her career in the late 1980s and 1990s as an apprentice and assistant editor before becoming a credited editor on features including The Daytrippers (1996), You Can Count on Me (2000), Adventureland (2009) and Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018).
McCabe has edited episodes of television series including Nurse Jackie, The Newsroom and three episodes of Succession (2018–2019). Her recent film credits include A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019), Boston Strangler (2023) and Nightbitch (2024). She directed the 2022 documentary Idina Menzel: Which Way to the Stage?.
She is a member of the American Cinema Editors and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. McCabe was born in California and raised in Boston, where she attended the Commonwealth School before studying at Barnard College, Columbia University.
