Biography
Ashlie Atkinson is an American character actress who works in film, television and theatre. Born Ashley Elizabeth Atkinson on 6 August 1977 in Little Rock, Arkansas, she graduated from Hendrix College with a degree in theatre arts and trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York.
She began her career in theatre, originating the role of Helen in Neil LaBute’s Fat Pig (2004) off-Broadway, for which she received a Theatre World Award, and appeared on Broadway in a 2007 revival of The Ritz. Her film credits include Inside Man (2006), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Bridge of Spies (2015), Certain Women (2016) and BlacKkKlansman (2018). On television she has appeared in Louie (2010), Mr. Robot (as Janice), The Gilded Age (as Mamie Fish) and And Just Like That… (as Amanda).
In 2015 she married filmmaker and musician Leon Chase.
