Biography
Barry Norton, also credited as Alfredo Carlos Birabén, was an Argentine-American actor. He was born on 16 June 1905 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and died on 24 August 1956 in Hollywood, California.
He began his career in silent films in the mid-1920s and appeared in more than 90 films. Early roles included parts in What Price Glory? (1927), The Legion of the Condemned (1928) and 4 Devils (1928). He is noted for playing Juan Harker in the Spanish-language version of Drácula (1931). In 1933 he played Carlos in Lady for a Day.
From the 1930s onward his roles were mostly small or uncredited, including appearances in films such as Casablanca (1943), Strangers on a Train (1951) and To Catch a Thief (1955).
