Biography
Bill Anderson is a British television director. He began his career as a writer in the 1980s and 1990s before moving into directing, with early credits including the single drama Dockers (1999) and episodes of The Lakes and Silent Witness.
Anderson has directed episodes of numerous British series, including Spooks (2004), Lewis (2006–2010), DCI Banks (2011), Case Histories (2011), Inspector George Gently (2014), The Mill (2014) and Mr Selfridge (2016). In 2017 he directed two episodes of Doctor Who: Thin Ice and Knock Knock. He has also directed telefilms such as Sword of Honour (2001) and Boudica (2003).
Dockers earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Single Drama.
