Biography
James Moran is a British screenwriter for television and film. Born on 5 March 1972 in York, he began his professional career after winning a scriptwriting competition run by the Sci Fi Channel.
His television credits include episodes of Doctor Who (notably 'The Fires of Pompeii' in 2008), Torchwood (including 'Sleeper' in 2008 and a co-written episode of Children of Earth in 2009), and Spooks. He has also written for Primeval, Crossing Lines and other series.
Moran's film work includes the horror-comedy Severance (2006), Cockneys vs Zombies (2012) and Tower Block (2012). He has written and directed several short films and co-directs production company Moranic Productions with his wife, screenwriter Cat Davies.
