Biography
Catherine Tregenna is a British playwright, television screenwriter and former actress. She began her career as an actress, appearing in Welsh-language series including Pobol y Cwm and Satellite City. In 2001 she wrote the comedy play Art and Guff, after which she moved into television writing, co-creating The Bench and contributing to series such as Casualty and Cowbois ac Injans.
Tregenna wrote four episodes of the Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood (2006–2008): "Out of Time", "Captain Jack Harkness", "Meat" and "Adam". "Captain Jack Harkness" received a Hugo Award nomination. She later wrote the Doctor Who episode "The Woman Who Lived" (2015). Her other credits include multiple episodes of Law & Order: UK, Lewis, DCI Banks, Stan Lee's Lucky Man, Riviera and The Watch, as well as creating the 2024 series The One That Got Away.
