Biography

Bill Mumy is an American actor, musician, writer and producer. Born Charles William Mumy Jr. on 1 February 1954 in San Gabriel, California, he began acting professionally as a child, appearing in guest roles on television series including The Twilight Zone (1959), Bewitched (1964) and I Dream of Jeannie (1965).

He is best known for playing Will Robinson in the science-fiction series Lost in Space (1965–1968). Other film roles include Sterling North in Rascal (1969), Teft in Bless the Beasts and Children (1971) and Lariot in Papillon (1973). In the 1990s he played Lennier in Babylon 5 (1993–1998) and has worked extensively in voice acting for animated series and films.

Mumy is also a musician, performing as one half of the comedy-rock duo Barnes & Barnes, and has written comics and a memoir. He received an Inkpot Award in 2015.
