Biography
Bobby Porter is an American actor and stunt performer. He was born on 17 May 1952 in Long Beach, California.
Introduced to the industry by his neighbour, stunt pilot James W. Gavin, Porter began as a stunt double for children and smaller actors. His first major film credit was doubling Eric Shea in The Poseidon Adventure (1972). He took an acting role the following year as Cornelius in Battle for the Planet of the Apes (1973).
Porter has worked extensively as a stunt performer and coordinator on films including Blade Runner (1982), E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) and Matilda (1996), and on the television series Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006). He received a Primetime Emmy nomination for outstanding stunt coordination on the latter.
