Biography
Brenda Fowler was an American actress. Born Eva Brenda Fowler on 16 February 1883 in Jamestown, North Dakota, she began her career on the stage around 1905 with stock theatre companies and later performed in Honolulu before transitioning to film in the late 1910s.
She appeared in more than thirty films, often in supporting roles as matrons or nurses, with credited parts including Mrs. Caroline Priest in Judge Priest (1934), Mrs. Shumway in The Case Against Mrs. Ames (1936) and Mrs. Prentice in Two-Fisted Gentleman (1936). Uncredited appearances include Mrs. Gatewood in Stagecoach (1939) and the mother in Bride of Frankenstein (1935). Fowler was married to actor John W. Sherman and had one daughter. She died on 27 October 1942 in Los Angeles, California.
