Biography
Brian O'Halloran is an American actor and producer. He was born Brian Christopher O'Halloran on 20 December 1969 in Manhattan, New York City, and is best known for playing Dante Hicks in Kevin Smith's Clerks (1994) and its sequels Clerks II (2006) and Clerks III (2022). He has appeared in several other View Askewniverse films, often as Dante or members of the Hicks family, including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997), Dogma (1999) and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001).
O'Halloran has worked primarily as a stage actor since Clerks, with companies including the Boomerang Theatre Company, the New Jersey Repertory Company and the Tri-State Actors Theatre. He is the lead in the 2000 film Vulgar and has presented the podcast The O'HalloRant since 2020. He is a first-generation Irish-American and has lived in New Jersey since the age of 13.
