Biography
Brian Vernel is a Scottish actor. He was born on 29 December 1990 in Glasgow and attended St Mungo's Academy before completing a one-year general arts foundation course at the University of Glasgow and training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Vernel is known for his roles as Bala-Tik in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015), Odda the Younger in The Last Kingdom (2015), Highlander 1 in Dunkirk (2017), Billy Wallace in the series Gangs of London (2020–), Curly in Slow Horses (2022), and Irus in The Odyssey (2026). He has also appeared in Let Us Prey (2014) as Caesar Sargison, Papillon (2017) as Guittou, and Doctor Who (2017) as Lucius.
