Biography
Britta Smith was an Irish actress. Her screen credits include the role of Nurse in My Left Foot: The Story of Christy Brown (1989), Annie Maguire in In the Name of the Father (1993), Katy in The Magdalene Sisters (2002) and Mrs Clarke in Breakfast on Pluto (2005). She appeared as Kitty Ryan in Hear My Song (1991).
Other film roles encompass Mrs Taffin in Taffin (1988), Mrs Hogan in Circle of Friends (1995), the Artist's Mother in Moll Flanders (1996) and Mrs Boots in The Boxer (1997). She also worked in television, with appearances in series such as The Clinic and Silent Witness. Smith died on 19 October 2008.
