Biography
Bryce Dessner is an American composer and guitarist. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he is a founding member of the indie rock band The National alongside his twin brother Aaron Dessner.
He has composed scores for films including The Two Popes (2019), C'mon C'mon (2021), We Live in Time (2024) and Sing Sing (2024). He contributed to the score for The Revenant (2015) with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto.
Dessner studied music at Yale University. He has written concert works for ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Orchestre de Paris, and lives in France.
