Biography
Carey Wilber (26 June 1916 – 2 May 1998) was an American journalist and television writer. Born in Buffalo, New York, he began his career in newspapers before turning to television scriptwriting in the early 1950s.
Over three decades he contributed to numerous series, including Captain Video and His Video Rangers, Lost in Space, The Time Tunnel, Bonanza, Maverick, Rawhide, Ironside, Hawaii Five-O, Wonder Woman and Emergency!. He wrote the original story for the Star Trek episode 'Space Seed' (1967), later the basis for the film Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, and received story and co-teleplay credit. He also created the 'Ice Princess' storyline for the daytime serial General Hospital in 1981.
