Biography
Caroline Dries is an American television writer and producer. She began her career on the CW series Smallville, joining the writing staff in season five in 2006 and contributing episodes including "Cyborg" and "Fracture" (teleplay). She also served as story editor for seasons seven and eight.
Dries subsequently wrote for Melrose Place and worked as a writer and executive producer on The Vampire Diaries. She developed and served as showrunner and executive producer on Batwoman (2019–2022). Her other credits include work on Arrow and the series Elle (2026).
Born in Wisconsin in 1980, Dries attended New York University and earned a master's degree from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She is also known for footage she captured of the 9/11 attacks while a student in New York.
