Biography
David Jackson is an American television director and writer, also credited as David S. Jackson. He began his career in the 1980s and has directed and written numerous episodes of prime-time series.
His early credits include directing and writing for Miami Vice (1984) and The Equalizer (1985), for which he received an Edgar Award for best television episode. He has since directed episodes of series including Smallville (2001), Charmed (1998), One Tree Hill (2003), CSI: NY (2004), Supernatural (2005) and The Vampire Diaries (2009).
Jackson has also directed television films such as Return to Halloweentown (2006) and The Spirit of Christmas (2015). He trained at the University of Kentucky, Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Southern California.
