Biography
Carolyn Pickles is an English actress born on 8 February 1952 in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. She read drama at the University of Manchester and has worked extensively in British theatre, including the West End, as well as on television and film since the mid-1970s.
She is known for roles including Maggie Radcliffe in Broadchurch (2013–2017), Shelley Williams in Emmerdale (2003–2005), DCI Kim Reid in The Bill (1990–1992), and Charity Burbage in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 (2010). Other credits include Tess (1979), The Mirror Crack'd (1980), Agatha Christie's Poirot (2001), Midsomer Murders and The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018). She is the daughter of judge James Pickles and niece of actress Christina Pickles.
