Biography
Chanel Cresswell is an English actress. Born on 23 January 1990 in Derbyshire, she grew up in the Codnor area and attended Aldercar Community Language College. While still at school she joined the Nottingham Television Workshop, where she was auditioned by director Shane Meadows.
Her first professional role was as Kelly Jenkins in the film This Is England (2006). She reprised the part in the Channel 4 miniseries This Is England '86 (2010), This Is England '88 (2011) and This Is England '90 (2015). For her performance in the final series she received the BAFTA Television Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2016.
Cresswell has appeared in other television roles including Katie McVey in the Sky1 sitcom Trollied (2011–2018), Jess Meredith in The Bay (2019), and Tammy in the Netflix series The Gentlemen (2024). She has also featured in Vera, Death in Paradise, Des and Dracula.
