Biography
Joseph Gilgun, also credited as Joe Gilgun, is an English actor and producer. He was born on 9 March 1984 in Chorley, Lancashire. He is known for his role as Woody in the film This Is England (2006) and its television spin-off series.
Gilgun began acting as a child, appearing in Coronation Street from 1994 to 1997. After working as a plasterer, he returned to acting full-time in 2006 with roles in Emmerdale as Eli Dingle and This Is England. His other credits include Rudy Wade in Misfits (2011–2013), Cassidy in Preacher (2016–2019), and Vincent "Vinnie" O'Neill in Brassic (2019–), which he co-created. He has also appeared in films such as Harry Brown (2009), Pride (2014), The Last Witch Hunter (2015) and The Infiltrator (2016).
