Biography
Stephen Graham (born 3 August 1973) is an English actor, producer and screenwriter. He began his career in 1990 and gained early notice for roles in Snatch (2000) and Gangs of New York (2002). His breakthrough came as Andrew 'Combo' Gascoigne in This Is England (2006).
Graham has appeared in films including the Pirates of the Caribbean series (2011 and 2017), The Irishman (2019), Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and Venom: The Last Dance (2024) as Detective Mulligan, Blitz (2024) as Albert, and Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere (2025) as Douglas Springsteen. On television he has starred in Boardwalk Empire, Peaky Blinders, Time and A Thousand Blows (2025) as Henry 'Sugar' Goodson. He created, co-wrote and starred in the Netflix series Adolescence (2025).
Graham received an OBE in 2023 and has been nominated for seven British Academy Television Awards and one British Academy Film Award. For Adolescence he won three Primetime Emmy Awards.
