Biography
Charles Edwards is an English actor born on 1 October 1969 in Haslemere, Surrey. He trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has worked extensively in theatre, television and film since the early 1990s.
His screen credits include Michael Gregson in Downton Abbey (2012–2013), Sir Martin Charteris in The Crown (2019–2020), Lord Celebrimbor in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022–2024) and Mr Jenkins in Roald Dahl's The Witches (2020). Other film roles encompass Batman Begins (2005), Philomena (2013) and The Duke (2020). He has received ensemble awards for his work on The Crown.
