Biography

Charles H. Maguire was an American film producer, assistant director and production manager. Born on 3 November 1927 in Queens, New York, he began his career in the 1950s as an assistant director on several films, including On the Waterfront (1954), Baby Doll (1956), A Face in the Crowd (1957) and The Hustler (1961). He later took on associate producer and production manager roles on titles such as Splendor in the Grass (1961), Fail Safe (1964), The Sand Pebbles (1966), The Parallax View (1974) and Shampoo (1975).

Maguire worked as producer or executive producer on Heaven Can Wait (1978), Dead Again (1991) and Patriot Games (1992). He died on 15 January 2001 in Thousand Oaks, California.
