Biography

Charlotte Bruus Christensen is a Danish cinematographer. She studied at the European Film College in Ebeltoft from 1997 to 1998 and earned a master's degree in cinematography from the National Film and Television School in the United Kingdom in 2004. After film school she returned to Denmark, where she wrote, directed and shot the 2004 short film Between Us.

She worked with director Thomas Vinterberg on Submarino (2010), The Hunt (2012) and Far from the Madding Crowd (2015). Her other feature credits include Hunky Dory (2011), Life (2015), The Girl on the Train (2016), Fences (2016), Molly's Game (2017), A Quiet Place (2018), The Banker (2020), All the Old Knives (2022) and Sharper (2023). She was cinematographer on the 2025 film H Is for Hawk.

Her television work includes the miniseries Black Narcissus (2020) and A Murder at the End of the World (2023).
