Biography
Emily Blunt is a British actress. She was born Emily Olivia Laura Blunt on 23 February 1983 in Wandsworth, London.
She made her stage debut in a 2001 West End production of The Royal Family and her feature film debut in My Summer of Love (2004). Her breakthrough came in 2006 with roles in the television film Gideon's Daughter, for which she won a Golden Globe Award, and the comedy-drama The Devil Wears Prada.
Blunt has since starred in films including The Young Victoria (2009), Edge of Tomorrow (2014), Sicario (2015), The Girl on the Train (2016), A Quiet Place (2018) and its sequel, Oppenheimer (2023) as Kitty Oppenheimer, The Fall Guy (2024) as Jody Moreno, The Smashing Machine (2025) as Dawn Staples, and Disclosure Day (2026) as Margaret Fairchild. She has received a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, with nominations for an Academy Award and British Academy Film Awards.
