Biography
Christian Taylor (born 17 July 1968) is a British-Argentine-American screenwriter, director and producer. He studied filmmaking at New York University, where his thesis short film The Lady in Waiting (1992) received a Student Academy Award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short Film.
Taylor contributed to the development of the HBO series Six Feet Under (2001), writing three episodes and serving as producer on 26 episodes across the first two seasons; the series received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series in 2002. His episode "In Place of Anger" earned a Writers Guild of America nomination. He later wrote an episode of Lost (2004) as supervising producer and shared in the 2006 WGA Award for Best Dramatic Series.
His other television credits include writing and producing on Miracles (2003), creating New Amsterdam (2008) and Eye Candy (2015), writing multiple episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2011–2014) and Teen Wolf (2012–2014, also directing three episodes), and work on Resident Alien (2021), Star Wars: The Bad Batch (2021) and Wolf Pack (2023, also directing). He co-directed and starred in the independent film Showboy (2002), which won the Douglas Hickox Award at the British Independent Film Awards.
