Biography
Craig Wright is a Puerto Rican-American playwright, screenwriter and television producer. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he attended Minnesota State University Moorhead and St John's University before earning a Master of Divinity from the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. He worked as an associate minister before moving into television writing.
His television career began on the HBO series Six Feet Under (2001), where he joined the writing staff in 2003, wrote several episodes including the Emmy-nominated 'Twilight', served as story editor and executive story editor, and became a producer for the final season. He went on to write for Lost (2004) as supervising producer and writer, and created the series Dirty Sexy Money (2007) and Greenleaf (2016).
As a playwright, Wright has written numerous works including The Pavilion, which was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize, and Recent Tragic Events. He has received fellowships from the McKnight Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.
