Biography
Chuck Tatham is a Canadian screenwriter and television producer. Born in Listowel, Ontario, he worked in advertising in Toronto before moving to Los Angeles in 1991 with his brother Jamie to pursue writing for film and television. His first writing credits were on the sitcom Full House in the early 1990s.
Tatham is best known for his work on Arrested Development (2003), where he served as a writer and co-executive producer on episodes including the 2006 finale. He later wrote for How I Met Your Mother (2005) across five seasons and Modern Family (2009) for three seasons, also contributing to series such as Night Court (2023) and Central Park (2020).
He received Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series for his producing work on Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother and Modern Family, as well as a nomination for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. He has also been nominated for Writers Guild of America Awards.
