Biography
Danny Sapani is a British actor. Born in London on 15 November 1970 to Ghanaian parents, he trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama after first pursuing acting at the Weekend Arts College in Kentish Town.
He is known for television roles including Tony Morecombe in Misfits (2009–2010), Sembene in Penny Dreadful (2014–2015), Colonel Manton in Doctor Who (2011), President Nkrumah in The Crown (2016) and Jacob Keyes in Halo (2022–2024). Film appearances include Nate in Trance (2013), a medical frigate captain in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), a border tribe elder in Black Panther (2018) and its sequel (2022), and Kambili Kalu in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024). Sapani has also worked extensively in theatre.
