Biography
Darryl Cox is an American actor. He was born on 8 April 1955 in Wiesbaden, West Germany, and grew up as the son of a career US Air Force NCO. After studying at the University of Oklahoma and serving as a US Navy officer, he moved to Dallas in 1983 to pursue acting professionally.
Cox began with commercials and industrial films before securing roles in features and television. His credits include RoboCop (1987) as Technician #2, JFK (1991) as FBI Agent #2 with Hill, Bottle Rocket (1996) as Bookstore Manager, Arlington Road (1999) as Troopmaster, and Minari (2021) as Mr. Harlan. He has also appeared in Twister (1996), Wildlife (2018) and Twisters (2024).
He taught acting for the camera at several universities, including the University of Oklahoma until 2020.
