Biography

Daryn Okada is an American cinematographer. He has served as director of photography on feature films including Mean Girls (2004), American Reunion (2012) and Movie 43 (2013).

Born in Los Angeles in 1960, Okada is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and served as its president from 2006 to 2009. He joined the board of governors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2015. He has frequently collaborated with director Steve Miner and has also directed episodes of television series including Station 19.
