Biography

John Terlesky is an American television director and former actor. Born John Todd Terlesky on 30 May 1961 in Cincinnati, Ohio, he began acting in the mid-1980s with roles in films including Chopping Mall (1986) and Deathstalker II (1987), and television series such as Legmen.

Terlesky made his directorial debut co-directing the film The Pandora Project (1998). He has since directed episodes of numerous series, including Boston Legal (2004), Grey's Anatomy (2005), Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl (2007), Castle (2009), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013), How to Get Away with Murder (2014), The Blacklist (2013), Criminal Minds (2005) and The Rookie (2018). He is married to actress Jayne Brook.
