Biography
Daniel Willis is an American television director and writer. A Chicago native who grew up on the city's south side, he is a graduate of DePaul University. He was a 2017 Sony Pictures Television Directing Fellow and a 2017–2018 Film Independent Project Involve Directing Fellow.
Willis has directed episodes of Grey's Anatomy (2019), The Blacklist (2019–2021), The Rookie (2021), Cruel Summer (2021), Chicago Fire (2022), Chicago Med (2022), 4400 (2022), Queens (2021), Big Shot (2022), So Help Me Todd (2023–2024), The Watchful Eye (2023) and Matlock (2025). He has also written episodes of Twenties (2020–2021). His short films and television projects have screened at festivals including the LA Film Festival and SeriesFest. He has received two wins and one nomination for his work.
