Biography

David Crockett is an American film and television producer and production manager. After graduating from the University of Illinois, he began in commercial production and worked on the 1994 film Blink before moving to Los Angeles, where he contributed to projects for New Line Cinema and Miramax. He joined the Directors Guild of America in 2000 and co-produced his first feature, The Guru, in 2002.

Crockett line-produced films including Bad Santa (2003) and Stick It (2006). He executive-produced Ben Affleck’s directorial debut Gone Baby Gone (2007) and later The Town (2010), and worked with Denzel Washington on The Great Debaters (2007). At GK Films he served as Executive Vice President of Production on titles such as Hugo (2011). Returning to independent producing in 2013, he produced A Cure for Wellness (2016) and has executive-produced the HBO series The Gilded Age (2022–). He has received Primetime Emmy nominations for his television work.
