Biography
David Gordon Green is an American film and television director, screenwriter and producer. Born on 9 April 1975 in Little Rock, Arkansas, he studied film directing at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Green began his career with independent dramas including George Washington (2000), All the Real Girls (2003) and Snow Angels (2007). He later directed comedies such as Pineapple Express (2008) and Your Highness (2011), before returning to drama with Prince Avalanche (2013) and Joe (2014). He co-wrote and directed the Halloween trilogy (2018–2022) and directed and co-wrote The Exorcist: Believer (2023).
In 2026 he directed episodes of the series Scarpetta and the pilot of Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.
