Biography
David Kitay is an American film composer. Born David Joseph Kitay on 23 October 1961 in Los Angeles, California, he began his career as a session guitarist and arranger, recording with artists including Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt and the Pointer Sisters.
Kitay's film scoring work began with Look Who's Talking (1989), the first of several collaborations with director Amy Heckerling that included Clueless (1995). He has composed for films such as Scary Movie (2000), Ghost World (2001), Bad Santa (2003), Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004) and Camp Rock (2008). He has also scored television series including Mad About You and produced records for other artists. Kitay has received multiple BMI awards for his film and television scores.
