Biography
David Wingo is an American film and television composer. He began his career scoring David Gordon Green’s debut feature George Washington (2000), collaborating with Michael Linnen, and has since worked on the majority of Green’s films.
Wingo is also a frequent collaborator with director Jeff Nichols, scoring Take Shelter (2011), Mud (2013), Midnight Special (2016), Loving (2016) and The Bikeriders (2024). His other notable credits include The Exorcist: Believer (2023) and the HBO series Barry (2018–2023), for which he received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series.
He is a member of the band Ola Podrida and has released three albums with the group.
