Biography
Eddie Jones (1934–2019) was an American actor of stage, film and television. Born in Washington, Pennsylvania, he began his career in theatre and appeared in more than 250 plays, including the original Broadway production of That Championship Season (1972) as understudy to Charles Durning.
His film roles included Mintz in The Grifters (1990), Dave Hooch in A League of Their Own (1992), Buddy Wallace in Sneakers (1992), Samuel Riddle in Seabiscuit (2003) and Salchak in The Terminal (2004). On television he played Jonathan Kent in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993–1997) and had recurring roles in The Equalizer and The Invisible Man.
Jones was married to director Anita Khanzadian-Jones.
