Biography

Edward Biby (1886–1952) was an American actor and assistant director. Born in Pinckneyville, Illinois, he began working in Hollywood in the mid-1910s.

Biby served as assistant director on the shorts Her Marble Heart (1916) and A Love Riot (1916). He appeared in many uncredited bit parts, including the Orphan Asylum Driver in The Kid (1921), a nightclub patron in City Lights (1931), a foreign diplomat in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), a gambler in Gilda (1946) and a restaurant patron in Sunset Boulevard (1950). He also worked as a casting director and publicity agent.
