Biography
Elliot Ho Yat Leung (Chinese: 梁皓一), also credited as Elliot Yeung and Liang Haoyi, is a Hong Kong composer. Born on 3 August 1995, he began musical training at the age of five and studied composition at Wheaton Conservatory of Music in the United States, where he was mentored by Martin O'Donnell.
Leung’s breakthrough came in 2017 when director Dante Lam invited him to score the action film Operation Red Sea (2018). He went on to compose for Lam’s subsequent projects including The Rescue (2020), The Battle at Lake Changjin (2021) and its sequel The Battle at Lake Changjin II: Water Gate Bridge (2022), as well as the Hollywood film Freelance (2023). His other film credits include Cesium Fallout (2024) and The Furious (2026).
He has received the Huabiao Award for Outstanding Composer (the youngest winner in the category), appeared on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in 2022, and won multiple ASCAP Screen Music Awards. Leung also composes concert works and video game scores.
