Biography
Eric Kress is a Danish cinematographer. Born on 25 March 1962 in Zürich, Switzerland, to a French father and a Danish mother, he trained at the National Film School of Denmark in Copenhagen from 1987 to 1991.
He is known for his work on Danish productions including Flickering Lights (2000), for which he received a Robert Award, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009), and the Department Q films The Keeper of Lost Causes (2013) and The Absent One (2014). His international credits include Taken 3 (2014), Colossal (2017), Halo (2022) and Silo (2023). He has also worked on the series Borgen.
Kress has received several Robert Award wins and nominations, as well as Guldbagge Award nominations. His brother Philippe Kress is also a cinematographer.
