Biography
Francis Magee is an Irish actor born on 7 June 1959 in Dublin. He was raised in Ireland and on the Isle of Man, and worked as a fisherman for eight years before training as an actor at the Poor School in London's King's Cross. In the 1980s he was a member of music groups including Jo Jo Namoza.
Magee made his television debut as Liam Tyler in the British soap opera EastEnders (1993–1995). He has appeared in numerous films and television series, including Layer Cake (2004), Sahara (2005), Game of Thrones (2011) as Yoren, an episode of Black Mirror (2016), and Kin (2022–2023). His film credits also include Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) and Justice League (2017).
In 2025 he played Murgey in the British film Rose of Nevada.
