Biography
Fred Murphy (also credited as Fred V. Murphy II) is an American cinematographer. Born in New York in 1942, he is a member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
His feature credits as director of photography include Secret Window (2004), Stir of Echoes (1999), October Sky (1999), Freddy vs. Jason (2003), RV (2006) and The Mothman Prophecies (2002). On television he shot five episodes of the first season of Fringe (2008) and more than 100 episodes of The Good Wife (2009–2016).
Murphy has received multiple Primetime Emmy nominations for his television work, including for The Good Wife and In Treatment.
