Biography
Gary Beadle is a British actor born on 8 July 1965 in Bermondsey, London. As a child he took part in a community production of Bugsy Malone with his brother Rikki Beadle-Blair, which led to training at the Anna Scher Theatre School.
Beadle began acting in the 1980s, appearing in The Young Ones (1984) and Absolute Beginners (1986). He played Paul Trueman in the BBC soap EastEnders from 2001 to 2004. His other television work includes Absolutely Fabulous, The Wheel of Time (2021) as Elyas Machera, Andor (2022) as Clem Andor and The Gentlemen (2024). Film roles include In the Heart of the Sea (2015), Persuasion (2022) and Rye Lane (2023) as Peter. He has also maintained a stage career with productions at the National Theatre, Almeida Theatre and Royal Court.
