Biography
Geoff Pierson is an American actor. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on 16 June 1949, he studied at Fordham University and the Yale School of Drama before beginning his career in summer stock and on Broadway, appearing with George C. Scott in Tricks of the Trade.
He first gained prominence in daytime television as Frank Ryan on the soap opera Ryan's Hope (1983–1985). His notable television roles include Jack Malloy in the sitcom Unhappily Ever After (1995–1999), Tom Matthews in Dexter (2006–2013), John Keeler in 24, and Cornelius Moss in Designated Survivor. Film appearances include Changeling (2008) and J. Edgar (2011).
