Biography
Gitt Magrini, born Rosa Chiari Solari, was an Italian costume designer and occasional actress. She was born on 3 October 1914 in Zoagli, Liguria, and died on 10 July 1977 in Rome.
She designed costumes for films directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, including The Conformist (1970), Last Tango in Paris (1972) and 1900 (1976). Magrini also worked with Michelangelo Antonioni on L'Eclisse (1962) and Red Desert (1964), and with French directors such as Louis Malle, Jean-Luc Godard and Jacques Demy on titles including Donkey Skin (1970). She received additional credits under the names Gytt Magrini and Rosa Chiari Solari.
