Biography
Alberto Grimaldi (1925–2021) was an Italian film producer. He trained as a lawyer before founding his production company Produzioni Europee Associati (P.E.A.) in 1961 and entering film production.
Grimaldi produced Sergio Leone’s spaghetti westerns For a Few Dollars More (1965) and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). His other credits include Last Tango in Paris (1972), Satyricon (1969), The Decameron (1971), Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975) and 1900 (1976). He returned to production after a long hiatus with Martin Scorsese’s Gangs of New York (2002).
