Biography
Graham Stark (20 January 1922 – 29 October 2013) was an English comedian, actor, writer and director. Born in Wallasey, Cheshire, he trained at RADA and served in the RAF during the Second World War, where he performed with future collaborators including Peter Sellers.
He appeared in numerous comedy films, often in supporting roles alongside Sellers. These included several entries in the Pink Panther series, playing Hercule LaJoy in A Shot in the Dark (1964) and Trail of the Pink Panther (1982), Dr Auguste Balls in Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) and Son of the Pink Panther (1993), and the hotel clerk in The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976). He also played Humphrey in Alfie (1966) and the cashier in Casino Royale (1967), and appeared in Victor/Victoria (1982).
Stark worked extensively in British comedy on radio and television, including Goon Show-related projects, and directed films such as The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins (1971). He published an autobiography, Stark Naked, in 2003.
