Biography
Harold Huber (born Harold Joseph Huberman) was an American actor who appeared in films, on stage, radio and television. He was born in New York City on 5 December 1909 and died there on 29 September 1959.
Huber attended New York University and Columbia Law School before beginning his acting career. He made his Broadway debut in 1930 under the name Harold Huber and appeared in several stage productions before entering films. His screen debut came in 1932; he went on to play supporting roles in nearly 100 films through the 1940s, often in character parts requiring accents.
Notable film credits include 20,000 Years in Sing Sing (1932), The Thin Man (1934) as Arthur Nunheim, 'G' Men (1935), San Francisco (1936), The Good Earth (1937), A Slight Case of Murder (1938), Beau Geste (1939) and Dance, Girl, Dance (1940). He also appeared in several Charlie Chan films and later worked in television and radio, including a 1940s series as Hercule Poirot.
