Biography
Harry A. Bailey (1879–1954) was an American character actor who appeared in dozens of bit parts, frequently uncredited, between 1926 and 1947. His plump build often saw him cast as office workers, politicians or neighbours.
He is credited as Citizen (uncredited) in The Magnificent Ambersons (1942). Other appearances include Man Singing at Inquirer Party (uncredited) in Citizen Kane (1941), Senator Hammett (uncredited) in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), Neighbor (uncredited) in You Can't Take It with You (1938), and Lawyer (uncredited) in The Lady Eve (1941).
