Biography
Hiroshi Koizumi (also credited as Koizumi Hiroshi) was a Japanese actor. He was born on 12 August 1926 in Kamakura, Japan, and died on 31 May 2015 in Tokyo.
A graduate of Keio University, Koizumi began his career after working as an announcer for NHK and joining Toho's New Face acting class. He appeared in numerous Toho productions, frequently cast as scientists or professors in kaiju films.
His credits include Shoichi Tsukioka in Godzilla Raids Again (1955), Professor Shunsuke Miura in Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964) and Professor Murai in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964). He also appeared in Mothra (1961), Matango (1963) and later entries in the Godzilla series.
